Great experience, amazing selection, and incredible prices.

My name is Andrés, and I’m from Chile. I was visiting Vancouver and wanted to find a comic book shop with a good selection of back issues at reasonable prices.

I found Godfather Comics through a Google search, messaged Elvin on WhatsApp to arrange a time, and we met up on a Sunday morning.

I spent several hours browsing his inventory, and I found some excellent titles at very attractive prices. There were many boxes filled with comics priced at CAD$ 2 each, including titles that can go for US$ 10 or more on the open market. Kevin is aware of this, but he doesn't mind doing business at those lower prices rather than having his inventory sitting around. His business model relies on quick turnover, so he completely refreshes his stock every week, with the exception of boxes of individually priced comics. I checked those boxes too, and he gave me great discounts on a couple of titles I found there.

I would happily move to Vancouver for six months just to visit his shop once a week; I think I could complete all my unfinished collections.

And that's not even mentioning what a great guy Elvin is!

Yesterday I went on a journey to visit the Godfather. After a hasty "traipse" through the ominous and mysterious carport I ventured into the wild jungles of the back yard. I emerged from the dense Metro Vancouver foliage unscathed and slightly weary from my travels. The Godfather greeted me with a smile and a friendly "hello". He welcomed me into his home, offered me a cup of freshly brewed Cowboy Coffee and invited me to search through his bountiful hoard of comic book goodness. Collections of high grade CGC slabs. Long boxes full of beautiful condition comic books. With nimble fingers and a keen eye for keys I swept through the collection pulling out treasure after treasure. As I searched the Godfather shared with me tales of his own adventures, and showed off some of the rare treasures he had gathered throughout his many journeys. I was so immersed in the task at hand, the stories being told and the rare objects of wonder displayed, that I had not even considered conducting a thorough inspection and evaluation of the man's kitchen!! And why would I?! I did not venture all that way for some tv drama home makeover reality show. I was there for the thrill of the hunt and the value of the haul. And what a glorious haul it was!!

Elvin is great to deal with! He provides a truly outstanding service, sourcing quality collections and offering amazing finds to the community at incredible bargain prices. The more I bought, the better the deal! He even provided brand new bags and boards and a comic short box free of charge. Just like any other comic book venue, be sure to show up in person, roll up your sleeves and search for the books you want YOURSELF, especially if you want the best bargains. Entitled fomo crybabies please stay home and play with your pokemon cards.

Great to deal with. Very honest and helpful with the whole process selling my late father’s old comic book collection. Would recommend to anyone, especially if you’re not savvy with comics. Better than expected service, very knowledgeable.

Great experience overall. He responded quickly and was very accommodating in letting me come by. The comic book selection was impressive, and he took the time to walk me through every section. Also made an excellent coffee, which was a nice touch. Highly recommend
